Autopilot
All our steering devices are accommodated for mounting with autopilot
-
Stay on course
With the built-in non-return valve, you can comfortably let go of the steering wheel. Your vessel will stay in the set position
-
Multiple steering positions
With Sleipner steering systems, you can choose between one or more control positions

Finding the right cylinder
5.4.2023Sleipner's hydraulic cylinders fit a wide range of installations. They are adaptable to most rudders and water jets as long as the rudder torque does not exceed what the cylinder is intended for.

Hydraulic steering pumps
5.4.2023The steering pump is the heart of a hydraulic steering system. This component decides how much oil to pump through to the system's muscle which is the cylinder. Sleipner offers three different models for different boats and dashboard designs.

Power steering for work boats
26.4.2023Sleipner has collaborated with boatbuilders and shipowners and designed a robust steering system with a constant running electro-hydraulic pump and valve for connecting the autopilot and joystick.
Why hydraulic steering?
- Safer and more precise control of your vessel
- Autopilot is more efficient when the rudder, outboard engine, drive or pump-jet is controlled via hydraulics
- An integrated non-return valve helps the rudder maintain its position without holding the steering wheel
- Minor mechanical wear means minimal maintenance and extended product-life
- Best alternative if you want two or more steering positions
- Stable course with minimal use of force
